A proud moment for South Sudan

The SSNOC congratulates every medal-winning athlete, the coaching teams, technical officials and the respective sports federations for their dedication and commitment to representing South Sudan.

These results are a reminder that sporting excellence is built through discipline, perseverance, teamwork and opportunities for athletes to develop their abilities. They also demonstrate the importance of supporting national federations and creating pathways for young South Sudanese to participate in organised sport.

Beyond the medals, the athletes' participation in Nairobi provided valuable international experience, strengthened competitive confidence and offered an opportunity to represent the country with pride.

As South Sudan continues to develop its sporting sector, the SSNOC remains committed to working with the Government, sports federations and development partners to strengthen athlete development, improve access to training and competition, and build a sustainable foundation for future sporting success.

The Committee believes that every achievement brings the country closer to its vision of becoming a strong sporting nation, where athletes have the resources and opportunities needed to compete at the highest levels.

Building a stronger sporting future

The ANOCA Zone V Games performance is another reason for South Sudanese to take pride in their athletes. From the courts to the beach volleyball arena and the athletics track, Team South Sudan demonstrated that the nation's sporting ambitions are supported by talent, hard work and determination.

The SSNOC looks forward to building on this momentum as it continues to develop, promote and govern Olympic sports across the country.
